Cosmic Wayfinding

I'm Riordan: a queer astrologer, researcher, artist/writer, and apprentice of the healing arts. I've been blessed with having my life fall apart several times, each one an invitation to deeper awakening and compassion for the breadth and depth of human experience. I used to view situations like these as challenges, oppositions to the path I thought I wanted to walk. Now I see them as opportunities, and welcome deconstruction as liberation from the systems that would place us in binary categories, strip our world of meaning, and force us into conformist, monotonous routines that deny the magic, wonder, and beauty of an ecological, queer, ensouled universe that is always conspiring in our favor.

I have discovered this by walking toward the things that scare me and allowing myself to be transformed—but it’s scary work, and we were never meant to do it alone. Traditionally, all humans lived in community, went through rites of passage, and celebrated, mourned, and honored all the cycles of life together. We have lost that through industrialization, colonialism, consumer capitalism, and incarceration cultures. It is my missive to continually deconstruct, driving toward joy and my own liberation from shame —coming home to myself, and helping others find the same freedom.

My queer, trans, trauma-informed, ecological approach involves embodying the cosmic energies as archetypal forces, generational imprints, and personal / collective mythology. Together, we can reclaim ritual and ceremony; reconnect with the cycles of the planets, seasons, our bodies, and nature; and remember the purpose we came here to live in a world saturated with meaning and soaked in love.
